UK Buyer's Guide

Buy Thymosin Alpha-1 UK

Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-residue thymic peptide used in immunology research, and a frequent subject of PubMed searches. UKPL lists a 5mg and a 10mg vial from separate batches.

What is Thymosin Alpha-1?

Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-amino-acid peptide with an acetylated N-terminus, first isolated from a thymic extract called thymosin fraction 5. In the research literature it appears in studies of dendritic cell maturation, toll-like receptor signalling and T-cell function in cell and animal models. At roughly 3.1 kDa it is longer than many catalogue peptides, so synthesis and purification are harder and HPLC purity is a more meaningful quality indicator. It is not the same thing as thymosin beta-4, which is the parent of TB-500. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only, not for human or veterinary use.

Published research on thymosin alpha 1 immune is indexed on PubMed.

Intended Use: Strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Not for use in humans or animals. This product has not been evaluated by the MHRA or FDA.
