What is GHRP-2?
GHRP-2 is a six-residue synthetic peptide containing D-alanine, D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine alongside tryptophan and lysine. The D-residues make it far more resistant to proteases than a natural hexapeptide would be, which is one reason it became a standard tool compound for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, also called GHS-R1a or the ghrelin receptor. Researchers use it to probe receptor activation, desensitisation and signalling in cell lines. It is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only, not for human or veterinary use.
