Two tripeptides covering complementary arms of inflammation research.

KPV is the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, the three residues lysine-proline-valine that retain the parent hormone's anti-inflammatory activity without its pigmentary signalling. Its research literature centres on NF-kB pathway modulation, with the most cited work in gastrointestinal epithelial models including colitis research, where the peptide's small size and stability make it a practical experimental tool.

GHK-Cu contributes the tissue-remodelling arm. Beyond its collagen-synthesis literature, the copper tripeptide's documented gene-expression effects include suppression of inflammatory mediators alongside upregulation of repair-associated genes, which is why inflammation-resolution models pair it with direct pathway modulators like KPV.
